A Grignon Family Tree

The Grignons were of mixed French, Dakota and Ho Chunk background. They ran trading posts for the American Fur Company in current-day Minnesota and Wisconsin. They acquired thousands of dollars in debt payments (and through their marriages, thousands of acres of land) by participating in treaty making.
